The universe is full of things that balance each other out. Yin-yang. On a more scientific level we have Newton’s ‘to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction’. All this tells me, that the universe LOVES things to balance. It is how things operate best.

For us human’s as well, it is important that things balance. Not just in a metaphorical sense regarding a balanced lifestyle, balanced diet etc. but also in a literal, physical sense. What better way of keeping a balanced body, than ACTUALLY having a balanced body. By this of course, I’m talking about yoga.

Whilst it is absolutely key that we balance our body metaphorically by leveling out our acid and alkaline levels in our bodies, or getting the correct mix of exercise and relaxation, I think it is also SO important to literally balance our bodies. Yoga not only helps us control our breathing, and control our minds, but also helps us to keep absolute control over the movement of our bodies.

Now let me tell you, I love yoga. I love it so much I have even made two of my own yoga DVD’s, perfect for different times of the day. One for early morning and later evening, and one for when you wish to de-stress yourself, and energize yourself with positive vibes. The benefits you feel from yoga are phenomenal. The power and uplifting of spirit achieved through yoga is second to none. Words actually cannot explain the wonders it works.

What I will say however, is that it helps you balance your body beautifully. You are able to balance your body, your mind, and your spirit. It also gives the strength of mind, and clarity needed to balance the rest of your life, including your diet and lifestyle. For someone like me, who lives a natural lifestyle, I look to nature for all my inspiration. Mother nature has gifted this earth with everything we need to prosper. This is why the idea of balance is so important to me. Balance is so
deeply ingrained in nature, that we must be in search of it ourselves, as humans.

If we achieve the correct balance in our bodies and minds, I believe anything is possible! However the opposite is also true. If we fail to find a balance in our lives, we open ourselves up to illness, and will face challenge’s that we are not equipped to tackle.
